Filmmaker Submissions

    Awarded Film Strategy
    Prop 8 Films is committed to creating compelling documentary films that champion issues of social justice. As a fiscal sponsor for filmmakers and their projects, Prop 8 Films will produce documentaries focusing on issues that have a significant social impact and quantifiable community of supporters.

    Submissions Process
    Call for submissions will take place every year beginning on January 15th and end on March 15th. Applicants will go through an extensive application process. The Prop 8 Films Board of Directors will award the applicant and their film by June 15 of each year.

    Orientation process will begin with filmmakers to provide general guidance, define productions schedule, allow access to the infrastructure of the organization and begin the fundraising and development process. Projected life of each film will be 1-2.5 years.
